Anthony Smith knocked out Shogun Rua in the UFC Hamburg main event. Shogun came in ranked #8 in the world at light heavyweight, but Smith came in 1-0 at 205 pounds, and boy did he bring the heat. Smith hurt Shogun with his punches, cracked him open with his elbow, and then knocked him out with his hands. Smith is now 2-0 at light heavyweight and just beat the #8 guy in the world. What will be next for “Lionheart?” He wants Alexander Gustafsson at UFC 227.

The light heavyweights went met each other in the middle where a building pace took place. They exchanged strikes back and forth, and the the tempo picked up. Smith started landing with more power and watching Shogun cover up. Smith swarmed, landing a brutal standing elbow that split open the legend, and then a two-piece knocked him out completely. Yikes!
