It’s fight day! UFC Lincoln kicks off from Nebraska tonight (Saturday, August 25th), and Bloody Elbow is here to bring you the betting odds. Headlining the card, the promotion’s #7 ranked lightweight Justin Gaethje is pegged against the #10 James Vick. Despite this featured bout opening up at even odds, with both athletes registering at -115, Vick has since been shown the bulk of the betting love, and now resides in a favored line of -135. On the flipside, Gaethje finds himself sitting in underdog territory at +125, kind of like how he opened up at -110 against Dustin Poirier at UFC on FOX 29, but closed with a dog tag of +110. In Bloody Elbow’s video interview with James Vick, “The Texecutioner” stated that he wished he was the underdog here, so that he could bet on himself with better odds.
We have pick’em odds in the UFC Fight Night 135 co-main event, as Michael Johnson straddles both sides of the betting line, ranging from -120 up to +107, to Andre FIli and his favored line of -113. Straddling the line is probably where Johnson belongs, because of his 18 bouts inside of the UFC, the oddsmakers got it wrong a staggering 12 times. Seven times Johnson closed as the betting favorite, he came up short, and five times he was branded as the underdog, he came up with the win. Talk about untrustworthy! As for Fili, the betting odds are batting .500 as the moneylines have been correct in five of his ten UFC bouts.

The craziest line shift seen on the UFC Lincoln lineup belongs to middleweight matchup, Eryk Anders vs. Tim Williams. Anders opened up with a sturdy favorite line of -280, but has since been catapulted into the astronomical altitude of -1000. His opponent, Williams, has been flung from a standard +200 underdog line, to a whopping tag of +800. That is some serious shifting!
