Sixth-ranked featherweight Cub Swanson rebounded from back-to-back losses with a dominating performance over Hacran Dias at UFC on FOX 19 in Tampa, Fla. on Saturday.
The opening round was competitive with Swanson moving in and out of the pocket and making Dias miss with his counter strikes. Dias delivered hard leg kicks, but neither fighter had a clear edge at the end of the first five minutes.
Everything changed in the early going of the second frame when Swanson clipped the Brazilian with a left hook and knocked him down during an exchange. Swanson looked for the finish but eventually let Dias get back to his feet.
