The action ensued tonight (Sat., July 23, 2016) at UFC on FOX 20 live from United Center in Chicago, Illinois, as former Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) women’s Bantamweight champion Holly Holm made her return to the cage opposite talented Russian striker Valentina Shevchenko. But before the main event went down, the rest of the main card delivered on arrival.
In a Heavyweight matchup that looked like a one-on-one between a power forward and an out-of-shape point guard, hulking Francis Ngannou put Serbian newcomer Bojan Mihajlovic to sleep with vicious ground-and-pound in Round 1. While few would have argued that the Heavyweight tilt would go the distance, “Predator” looked absolutely dominant tonight.
The quick finish can be seen below, courtesy of UFC on FOX:

With this victory, Ngannou moves to 3-0 in the Heavyweight division with all three of those wins coming by way of knockout. There aren’t many up-and-coming talents in the weight class these days, so it’s plausible that the ginormous French striker can punch his way into the top 10 in 2017.
