The Best Resource For Mixed Martial Arts MMA

UFC preview, quick picks for MMA doubleheader in Belfast and Brazil

Got plans this weekend? Yeah, you can go ahead and keep them.

For the rest of us sad sacks, we’ll at least be able to get our mixed martial arts (MMA) fix — twofold — thanks to a combat sports doubleheader from Ultimate Fighting Championship, spread across the UFC Fight Pass digital network, as well as the FOX Sports 1 cable channel.

The action takes place this Saturday (Nov. 19, 2016) starting at 12 p.m. ET.

First up is the UFC Fight Night 99 extravaganza on UFC Fight Pass, taking place inside SSE Arena in Belfast, Northern Ireland, followed by UFC Fight Night 100 on FS1 at Ibirapuera Gymnasium in Sao Paulo, Brazil.

10 main card fights spread across two different continents and we’re going to touch on each bout. For a closer look at this weekend’s “Prelims” offerings click here and here. For all the UFC odds and betting lines click here.

Let’s get to it.

UFC Fight Night 99: “Mousasi vs. Hall 2”

Probably because “Dreamcatcher” went on to win three straight — with two violent finishes — while “Prime Time” fell into an 0-2 hole. That includes last September’s technical knockout loss to Derek Brunson.

Mousasi was winning their first go-round last year in Japan, rather convincingly I might add, before Hall caught him with something quick and flashy. I have a hard time believing — based on what we’ve seen from each combatant in the time since — that lightning will indeed strike twice.

Pick: Mousasi def. Hall by technical knockout

155 lbs.: Ross “Real Deal” Pearson (19-12) vs. Stevie “Braveheart” Ray (19-6)
