It paid to avoid the scorecards on Saturday.
Kelvin Gastelum, Li Jingliang, Zabit Magomedsharipov, and Song Yadong all received $50,000 Performance of the Night bonuses for finishing their opponents at UFC Fight Night 122 in Shanghai, China.
In the main event, Gastelum picked up arguably the biggest win of his career with a first-round KO of former UFC middleweight champion Michael Bisping, who had stepped in on short-notice to replace Anderson Silva.
Jingliang and Magomedsharipov have now collected bonus checks at back-to-back events. “The Leech” cashed in with a first-round TKO of Zak Ottow to add to the Fight of the Night award he won opposite Frank Camacho this past June, and Magomedsharipov executed a bonus-winning submission of Sheymon Moraes, just as he did in against Mike Santiago this past September.
The 19-year-old Yadong earns his first Performance of the Night award in his UFC debut after submitting Bharat Kandare with a front choke in Round 1.
There was no Fight of the Night bonus handed out in Shanghai.
