Rose Namajunas is the latest UFC fighter to pose nude for a major magazine.
Another UFC fighter has stripped down for a magazine. Alongside numerous other athletes and celebrities, Rose Namajunas is featured in the first-ever Women’s Health global Naked Issue, Women’s Health announced Wednesday.
The UFC strawweight is part of the magazine’s “Naked in 3 Words” campaign, which features female bodies of all shapes and sizes. The September 2017 issue, which includes ‘Thug Rose,’ is already on newsstands.

“My naked body is… the story of my whole life,” Namajunas told Women’s Health. “There’s a lot around us that we can’t control, but my body, my mind, and my soul are pretty much the only things that I can. All the scars on my body, all the bumps and bruises, all the muscles — that is a story of everything I have done. And it’s not just my story. My ancestors who came before me gave me this vessel to sculpt and mold.”
Namajunas joins a slew of other UFC fighters who have posed nude for different magazines, including Ronda Rousey, Miesha Tate, and Jon Jones. Most recently, fellow 115-pound fighter Michelle Waterson was on the front cover of the 2017 edition of ESPN’s Body Issue.
Namajunas is currently rumored to be fighting Joanna Jedrzejczyk for the UFC strawweight title in November at UFC 217. The event is slated for Madison Square Garden and is expected to be headlined by Michael Bisping vs. Georges St-Pierre.
