The Heavyweight showdown between Rico Verhoeven and Badr Hari at GLORY: “COLLISION” just got even heavier with the addition of a guest analyst.
Earlier this week, GLORY announced that No. 3-ranked Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) Heavyweight, Alistair Overeem, would join the commentary team for the highly-anticipated fight card, which takes place this Saturday (Dec. 10, 2016) at Koenig Pilsener Arena in Oberhausen, Germany.
“I’m very much looking forward to this Saturday and GLORY: ‘COLLISION,'” said Overeem in a press release. “It will be a very exciting night and I’m pleased to be one of the analysts at the commentary desk.”
Overeem, 36, has held titles kickboxing and mixed martial arts (MMA); in fact, he was K-1 World Grand Prix champion in 2010. He has also fought Hari twice in his combat sports career, knocking him out in their first meeting and losing by technical knockout in the rematch. Check out their second scrap below:
The Dutch veteran will join GLORY play-by-play man, Todd Grisham, as well as color analyst, “Bazooka Joe” Valtellini, for the entire four-match pay-per-view (PPV) fight card.
