Johnny Case suffered his first UFC defeat recently at UFC Fight Night 85 in Brisbane, Australia, and he’s already looking to rebound.
Rather than stepping back into the UFC Octagon, though, Case wants to test his skills in a different realm – reality television.
“Oh, for sure, ‘The Bachelorette,’ is interesting to me,” Case said. “I think it’d be awesome exposure, and, dude, [this season’s bachelorette] JoJo [Fletcher] is really hot. It’s a win-win. What better way to keep building my fan base and keep building my career than to get on ‘The Bachelorette’ and try to pick up a super hot chick in the process?”
While the hit ABC show already began filming on March 16, Case and his team say they’ve been in contact with the producers, and there’s a chance the five-fight UFC veteran could make his way onto the cast.
“I heard it’s still the beginning stages of filming, [and there is] a week, week and a half of adjustments until they really get to filming,” Case said.
Outside of fighting, the 26-year-old mixed martial artist said he has no experience on TV, but he still welcomes the opportunity to progress through the show and to spark a relationship with the 25-year-old Fletcher. As the father of two young boys, Case (22-5) understands the opportunity at hand.
“I’ll play the game as the game’s meant to be played, you know?” Case said. “I’ll take it seriously and I’ll just go in there and just be me and try to woo this girl whether she plays the game or not. I’ll just try to charm her pants off.”
