Uriah Hall: Luke Rockhold fighting ‘easy’ Michael Bisping at UFC 199 because he knew I had a full camp

After Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) middleweight No. 1 contender Chris Weidman was felled by a late injury, promotion officials were left scrambling for a new opponent to challenge 185-pound kingpin Luke Rockhold on June 4 in Los Angeles.

According to UFC President Dana White, Ronaldo Souza was his first choice, but the Brazilian — fresh off a UFC 198 beatdown over Vitor Belfort — was already scheduled for knee surgery. As a result, perennial contender Michael Bisping got the championship call.

Or as Uriah Hall and the oddsmakers suggest, the path of least resistance.

He knew I had a full camp so bisping would be easy coming off 2 weeks .. Smart move .

Hall is fresh off his UFC 198 fight camp — but no fight — as opponent Anderson Silva was struck down by a faulty gall bladder.

What about the fact that Hall is only ranked No. 10 and coming off a loss?

Lol a loss means nothing ranking means nothing it’s numbers I’m over it you guys should be too

As a fan, would you rather see Rockhold fight Bisping at UFC 199 … or Hall?
