One-time opponent of Anderson Silva, UFC middleweight Uriah Hall, is off Saturday’s UFC 198 fight card, MMA Fighting’s Guilherme Cruz has learned. Combate was the first to report the news.
The UFC attempted to find a replacement fight for Hall once it was determined Silva was too ill to compete and required gallbladder surgery. However, the two sides could not come to a mutually-agreed upon arrangement.
Silva vs. Hall was set to take place on Saturday’s main card. The UFC has not made this news official, so there’s no word on which bout from the preliminary card will serve as a substitute as of the time of this writing.
Hall, 31, last competed at UFC 193 in November where he lost to Robert Whittaker by unanimous decision.
