Former UFC title challenger Valerie Letourneau has a date and an opponent for her Bellator debut.
The Canadian fighter is scheduled to fight Emily Ducote in a women’s flyweight contest at Bellator 181, which is set to take place on July 14 at the WinStar World Casino in Thackerville, Okla. Letourneau announced the news on Monday’s edition of The MMA Hour.
Letourneau, 34, signed with Bellator last month to join the promotion’s flyweight division. The American Top Team product was last seen in action at UFC 206 where she lost split decision to Viviane Pereira. Letourneau, who’s 8-6 as a professional fighter, competed for the UFC six times and even challenged strawweight champ Joanna Jędrzejczyk for the title back in 2015.
Meanwhile, Ducote is coming off a submission win over Katy Collins back at Bellator 174 in March. The 23-year-old fighter is 5-2 in her MMA career and 3-1 under the Bellator banner.
