There’s that classic scene in Rocky when Balboa is beating the shit out of cattle carcasses as Team Creed watch tape and think “Oh shit, we might be in trouble.”
The cows got off easy, as far as I’m concerned.
That’s because Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) light heavyweight smashing machine Anthony Johnson just unloaded in training camp as he prepares for his Daniel Cormier rematch, which takes place in the UFC 206 pay-per-view (PPV) main event next month in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
Have a look.
If one of those kicks lands…
What’s interesting about this fight is how quick the champ was to declare he would actually try to stand and trade with “Rumble,” as opposed to using his Olympic-caliber wrestling to try to drag their fight to the floor, something that proved successful when they first went to war at UFC 187 back in 2015.
Let’s hope “DC” was just talking tough … or they may need a sponge instead of a stretcher.
