Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) fans are “Notorious” for getting bad tattoos (like this one).
This isn’t one of them.
Veteran inker Steve Butcher stamped one lucky mixed martial arts (MMA) fan with Conor McGregor and Nate Diaz, who went to war in the five-round main event of UFC 202 back in August 2016, which the power-punching Irishman won by narrow decision.
While the fight was between two lightweights in the 170-pound weight class, it was one of the best welterweight scraps in recent memory and a rematch of their UFC 196 showdown, which Diaz won by second-round submission.
Time for a rubber match?
While the promotion won’t commit to McGregor’s first title defense, which is likely to come against interim straphanger Tony Ferguson, promotion president Dana White gave a firm “no” when asked about McGregor vs. Diaz 3, probably because of the latter’s exorbitant asking price.
See you on Dec. 30?
