Brian Ortega will have to wait. Max Holloway appears to have a new challenger up first.
On a USO tour last week, Holloway had an impromptu face off with none other than former “Daily Show” host Jon Stewart. The USO Twitter posted video of the funny encounter Monday — with Paige VanZant acting as the defacto Bruce Buffer of the proceedings.

Holloway shed his shirt and then Stewart did the same. Holloway offered to assist by hiking up Stewart’s underwear. Everyone seemed to be having a good time in front of the troops.

Holloway and VanZant were on the USO tour for about a week, visiting with troops in places like Japan, the demilitarized zone in Korea and Iraq. USO is an organization that brings live entertainment to American troops stationed overseas.
Holloway will defend his UFC bantamweight title against Brian Ortega at UFC 226 on July 7 in Las Vegas. In an Instagram post, Holloway called the USO tour “an honor.”
First #usovicetour trip done. Was an honor to be apart of it. Thank you to the men and women and there families for what they do. Takes a special person to do it. Again from my family to yours thank you
