Vitor Belfort wants another fight with Kelvin Gastelum after their previous one was overturned to a no contest.

Prior to his defeat to Chris Weidman on Saturday night in Long Island, Kelvin Gastelum went on a winning tear in his return to middleweight. In what was probably the biggest win of his career, the TUF alum stopped Vitor Belfort in the first round of their fight last March in Brazil.

Gastelum’s win, however, was overturned to a no contest when he tested positive for marijuana and was slapped with a three-month suspension. After this recent submission loss to Weidman, Belfort is now calling for a rematch to somehow override the no contest on their respective records.

“The Phenom” made his intentions known in a recent Instagram post.

I was supposed to fight @derekbrunson last year and again on September 9th. Twice UFC offered me this fight and weeks later says that he is not available. I don’t know what that means… After that they offered me a beginner as a opponent to fight in Canada… I don’t know what is happening, but if @derekbrunson can’t fight. @kgastelum let’s erase the no contest from our cards. I don’t care about your fight result tonight. I’m ready to fight!!! Let’s do it again! @kgastelum , vamos apagar o no contest do nosso cartel. Não me importa o resultado da sua luta hj. Eu estou pronto!! Vamos fazer essa luta outra vez!!!

As of the moment, it is highly uncertain if Gastelum would agree to this fight, especially since he plans to push for a return to welterweight.
