A welterweight bout between Warlley Alves and Kiichi Kunimoto is the latest addition to UFC Fight Night 110. The news was reported on Friday by UFC Brazil.
Alves last fought at UFC Fight Night 100 in November where he lost a unanimous decision to Kamaru Usman. The Brazilian, who won season three The Ultimate Fighter: Brazil, will be looking to snap a two-fight skid against Kunimoto. Prior to the pair of losses, the 26-year-old fighter was undefeated in his MMA career and had an impressive start in the promotion with four straight wins.
Meanwhile, Kunimoto will be making his return to the Octagon after being over two years on the sidelines. The Japanese fighter was last seen at UFC Fight Night 60 where he lost via submission to top-10 welterweight Neil Magny. The 35-year-old Kunimoto is 18–6–2 and one no-contest in his fighting career and 3-1 in the UFC.
UFC Fight Night 110 takes place on June 11 at the Vector Arena in Auckland, New Zealand. UFC heavyweights Mark Hunt and Derrick Lewis are scheduled to battle in the main event of the card.
