Former Ultimate Fighter standout Khalil Rountree made his presence known earlier tonight (Sat., Feb. 4, 2017) at UFC Fight Night 104 live on FOX Sports 1 from inside Toyota Center in Houston, Texas, as he ran through fellow light heavyweight finisher Daniel Jolly. The bout opened up the Fight Pass preliminary card and delivered in epic fashion.
After a very brief feeling out period that saw Rountree defend a lazy takedown attempt by the Texas native, “War Horse” landed a beautiful right knee inside the clinch that slumped Jolly onto the Octagon canvas. Rountree landed a second knee that appeared to hit Jolly’s chest before earning the first-round knockout stoppage.

With this win, Rountree moves into the win column at 205 pounds. He has always had the physical gifts to make a run at the top 15, but lost his first two UFC appearances. After a quick finish like this, look for the 26-year-old to make a quick turnaround and try to make 2017 a perfect campaign.
