No disrespect to Jaideep Singh, but I didn’t wait three years for ex-PRIDE deity and Sambo master Fedor Emelianenko to un-retire just to watch him toy with a kickboxing import who sports a 2-0 record in mixed martial arts (MMA).
Not when he can face a “Savage.”
Former UFC 265-pound slugger Shawn Jordan recently fulfilled his ZUFFA contact and is hoping to get back to work on New Year’s Eve in Japan against one of the greatest heavyweights of all time.
“How many people get to compete with the man who brought them to their sport?” Jordan asked on Instagram, while posting a picture of himself side-by-side with Emelianenko. “Let’s do it!”
Anyone have Nobuyuki Sakakibara’s phone number?
Jordan (18-7) was enjoying a three-fight winning streak under the UFC banner before going down on points to Ruslan Magomedov at UFC 192 earlier this month in Houston, Texas. The 31-year-old Louisianan has 17 finishes in 18 wins.
That said, does a fight against “The Last Emperor” interest you?
