Citing an illness, Ian McCall has been removed from UFC 208.
McCall was sent to the hospital. He became ill last night and the illness continued through the morning.
At 3:08 am McCall Tweeted: I need spike shoes with all this ice…
just my luck to slip and have some bad sh*t happen 24 hours before I get to play
McCall was supposed fight to Jarred Brooks at UFC 208, but now McCall is off and the fight is scrapped.
Brooks says: I scared the dude into sickness, he was sick with fear
McCall has not been able to step into the Octagon for over two years now. He pulled out of his fight with
Dustin Ortiz due to an injury in 2015,
then Justing Scoggins pulled out of their fight on 2 days notice due to not making weight, then Ray Borg pulled out of his
fight with McCall,
then McCall pulled out of his fight with Neil Seery in November,
Seery then pulled out of the rescheduled fight, but Brooks took the fight on short notice, but now McCall has pulled out.
Yesterday Chuck Mindenhall of MMA Fighting Tweeted: We’re 30 or so hours from UFC 208, and Ian McCall is still on the card.
He still has an opponent and everything. How is this possible?
The UFC 208 main card has Holm vs de Randamie, Silva vs Brunson, Jacare vs Boetsch,
Teixeira vs Cannonier, and Poirier vs Miller.
