Mike Goldberg will do his final UFC play by play at UFC 207 on Friday.
52 year old Goldberg began working for the UFC in 1997.
Mike is a former NHL hockey play-by-play announcer for the Detroit Red Wings and Minnesota Wild.
They’re looking to announce his replacement in July, Joe Rogan’s one year deal with the UFC ends in July.
With Goldberg gone and new ownership taking over the UFC that may be tipping point for Rogan leaving in the summer,
he almost called it quits this year. There is also reports of new ownership wanting more Fox shows and less pay
per views, so in the future we may not see that much of Rogan anyways, because he only does color commentary
for pay per view shows that take place in the United States.
