Max Holloway’s manager on why Max can’t fight Aldo at UFC 208:
FACT 1: This is the reason @blessedmma is not able to turn around and fight Aldo on Feb 11th.
FACT 2: X-rays show re-injured the same injury he suffered in the 1st rnd of his fight with Conor.
FACT 3: Doctors say no impact or training for 6 weeks.
FACT 4: Max did not know about the potential fight date with Aldo until Dana told him in the cage and adrenaline was still pumping so this injury was not felt until after the events activities ended.
FACT 5: Max has no hesitations in fighting Aldo and will do so when he can.
This comes in response to Aldo saying:
First, I heard he twisted his ankle and wouldn’t have time to heal.
Then I heard he had a trip booked to Disney World with his kids and he wouldn’t be able to reschedule.
Then I heard his gym is closed during the holidays and he wouldn’t have enough time to train.
So he’s basically going around, talking a lot of trash, saying a lot of bullsh*t and acting like a punk.
Holloway turned 25 on the 4th of this month. 6 days later he defeated Anthony Pettis to win the UFC interim
Max is on a 10 fight win streak, and 7 of those victories have been stoppages.
January 4th will mark 3 years since his win streak began, on that date Max TKO’d Will Chope with a spinning
back kick and punches in Singapore.
